Inspiration not doing me well,
Can’t create a beautiful picture.

Crayons of color stuck behind the shelf,
Black and grey– a new mixture.

Sketches of life, dull and bland,
Pictures of hope stripped from the walls.

There’s no windows in this room, there’s no way through–
Resulted to playing with dolls.

But now it’s fall,
Orange, red and yellow I seen it all.

One day it’s there then it’s just a wall.
Imagination trying, but endurance is small.

Forcing my brain awake when I hear rain fall.
What color can I recall? None. None at all.

Black and grey, that’s all.
I’m almost there, I almost saw..

Is that blue? I see you after all.
